Squadron 356
Luke AFB, Glendale, AZ
Welcome to the Frank Luke Jr. Cadet Squadron 356.
|
 |
CAP operates as the all-volunteer civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force when performing services for
the federal government. CAP also provides opportunities for adults and teens to serve their community, participate in
resident and distance learning leadership development training and acquire new skills to benefit personal and professional
growth.
CAP has three missions: Emergency Services, Aerospace Education and Cadet Programs.
The main concentration for 356 is the Cadet Program. CAP's cadet program allows youth to gain valuable leadership
experience and education. Each cadet studies volumes on leadership and aerospace. Cadets who successful complete
aerospace modules get to complete Cadet Orientation Flights, where they actually get to fly a CAP Cessna aircraft. Many
cadets go on to earn a solo wings and a pilots license.
Interested in joining? Cadet applicants must between the ages of 13 to 18, and attend meetings regularly at
our squadron each Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. We are located on Luke Air Force Base, which gives our members an awesome
opportunity that few other CAP units have. There are other squadrons at different locations throughout the area, to
locate these units visit the main CAP website locator. |
